Doctor Profile: Dr. Fatih

I was born in Diyarbakir in 1961. After completing my primary and secondary education in Izmit, I entered Kuleli Military High School in 1975. In 1978, I won the Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty from this high school and completed my medical education on behalf of the General Staff as a military student, and worked as a trainee physician at GATA Medical Faculty for one year. I worked for two years as Istanbul Hasdal Barracks Medical Company Command and 60-bed Surgical Hospital Chief Medical Officer. Following this duty, I passed the specialisation exam and completed my 5-year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery assistant training within the GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital Command.

I attended and participated in many international and national scientific meetings by taking academic courses and training on subjects such as burn treatment, Aesthetic Surgery, Congenital anomalies and their treatments, and I actively participated in operations related to these subjects.

As a medical doctor, I performed the treatment and surgeries of our injured soldiers as a result of various terrorist incidents in Diyarbakır Military Hospital for two years, and in 1995 I was appointed as Assistant Professor to the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service of GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital.

For 7 years, I was responsible for the training, thesis management, course and seminar activities of assistant and specialist doctors within the framework of academic training programs, at the same time I carried out my own scientific studies. I worked on Flap Surgery in Belgium in 1999, I worked at the Department of Plastic Surgery at New York Columbia University in 2001, and in 2002 I was awarded the title of University Associate Professor in front of the jury determined by the Interuniversity Board. I served as University Professor and Prof. I won the title. During my education, I performed more than 7000 operations. These operations consisted of both reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries.

I have 21 publications that have been referenced in the international scientific platform.


As of August 2005, I retired from the Turkish Armed Forces with the rank of Senior Medical Colonel and still continue my work as a freelance physician. It has always been my greatest ideal to use my professional knowledge and experience for the purpose of being beneficial to my patients and for educational purposes.
